Shiroko Sunaookami砂狼シロコ
Second-year Abydos High School student and field captain of the Foreclosure Task Force
Shiroko Sunaookami is a second-year student at Abydos High School in Blue Archive, the story-driven game set in Kivotos. As the Foreclosure Task Force’s quiet field captain, she helps defend an academy threatened by debt and outside interests. She rarely changes expression or wastes words, yet her commitment to the few students still at Abydos is unmistakable.
Her plans for saving the school can be alarmingly bold—especially when she treats an outrageous idea as a straightforward logistical exercise. Outside school duties, she enjoys jogging, physical training, and road cycling.
Biography
A Quiet Defender of Abydos
Shiroko is one of the five students keeping Abydos High School going as its district empties and the academy faces overwhelming debt. Alongside Hoshino, Nonomi, Serika, and Ayane, she serves in the Foreclosure Task Force, defending the school from armed intruders while the group searches for a way to secure its future. Though she speaks sparingly, she is quick to take responsibility in the field.
Finding Sensei on the Road
Early in the story, Shiroko finds Sensei exhausted and dehydrated on an Abydos street. She shares her cycling energy drink and offers directions to the school; when Sensei cannot walk, she reluctantly agrees to carry the visitor on her back. The unlikely arrival brings Schale’s advisor into the Task Force’s fight to keep Abydos open.
Plans That Alarm Her Friends
Shiroko can discuss an outrageous plan with the same composure she brings to an ordinary training route. During the investigation into the Black Market, her interest in a bank operation takes on the intensity of a proper tactical briefing. Her teammates’ alarm, set against her unruffled preparations, makes for some of Blue Archive’s most characteristic Abydos comedy.
The Work of Staying Together
The Foreclosure Task Force survives by doing more than winning firefights. Its members must decide together whom to trust and what they are willing to risk for the school. When Hoshino begins keeping her worries to herself, Shiroko notices. She wants the group to remain together, not merely to preserve the building they are defending.
Personality and Motivations
Shiroko speaks in short, measured phrases and usually wears a neutral expression. This can make her seem distant to newcomers, but her actions consistently reveal concern for the school and the people in it. She does not need elaborate speeches to express commitment.
Shiroko approaches dubious plans with an unnerving level of logistical care. She can focus on guard posts and surveillance coverage while overlooking the far more basic question of whether the plan should happen at all. Her teammates’ objections often supply the punch line; her steady expression rarely changes.
She values readiness, stamina, and the ability to act when a situation deteriorates. Yet she also watches the people around her closely enough to notice when someone is hiding a worry. She can be quietly stubborn, particularly when the people who matter to her are at risk.
Appearance
Shiroko has shoulder-length silver-gray hair, pointed wolf-like ears, blue eyes, and a blue halo with a circular motif above her head. A turquoise cross-shaped hair clip sits in her hair. Her understated expression contrasts with the bright details of her design.
Her usual Abydos uniform includes a dark navy jacket, light shirt, turquoise-accented tie, dark pleated skirt, and a striking teal scarf. She wears long light-colored socks and athletic shoes with turquoise details, and carries a dark shoulder bag. Her white-and-black assault rifle is part of her familiar equipment. The history of the scarf is explained in the spoiler section.

Abilities
Field combat and rifle handling
Shiroko serves on the Task Force’s front line and uses her assault rifle in armed confrontations. Her role is that of a capable, mobile combatant rather than a supernatural specialist.
Operational planning
She considers guard positions, surveillance coverage, routes, and available resources when planning an operation. Her thoroughness can make even her most questionable ideas sound methodical.
Limitations: Her judgment about whether an operation is wise or appropriate is sometimes less reliable than her tactical preparation.
Endurance and cycling
Long-distance road cycling, jogging, and conditioning are established parts of Shiroko’s routine. These interests support her athletic image and preference for remaining active.
Drone support
Shiroko carries a drone described in her in-game equipment as a camera drone used during exercise. It also has attachments unrelated to photography, and her combat presentation includes drone support alongside her assault rifle.
Relationships
Takanashi Hoshino
Senior student, teammate, and an important personal influence
Hoshino is a senior Abydos student Shiroko respects and tries to keep from carrying every problem alone. Although Shiroko rarely makes dramatic declarations, she persistently stands by Hoshino when the school is in danger.
Izayoi Nonomi
Fellow Foreclosure Task Force member
Nonomi is an encouraging teammate whose optimism balances Shiroko’s quieter and more single-minded approach. They cooperate in the effort to keep Abydos open.
Kuromi Serika
Fellow Foreclosure Task Force member
Serika’s quick temper often provides an audible counterpoint to Shiroko’s deadpan suggestions. They are comrades working toward the same goal.
Okusora Ayane
Fellow Foreclosure Task Force member and operations organizer
Ayane handles much of the group’s communication and coordination, directing the others during operations. Shiroko contributes field assessments and relies on Ayane’s information to act effectively.
Sensei
Adult advisor and ally of the Abydos students
Sensei assists the Task Force as it faces forces far larger than its five students. Shiroko values reliable support and joins the others in protecting Sensei.
Interesting facts
Shiroko’s credited character designer and original illustrator is Hwansang.
This identifies a production contributor behind her recognizable game design rather than treating the appearance as an anonymous franchise asset.
The in-game equipment description says Shiroko presents her drone as a camera drone for exercise, despite carrying attachments that clearly serve other purposes.
The contrast is a small, character-specific joke connecting her fitness habits with her very serious-looking equipment.
A May birthday feature on NEXON’s The Peak gives Shiroko’s standard, cycling, swimsuit, and Terror versions distinct birthday dialogue.
The variants are not written as interchangeable costumes: even short celebratory lines reflect their different situations and attitudes.

Major story spoilers below.
A Name, a Winter Scarf, and a New Home
Volume 1, Chapter 3 reveals that Shiroko was found in the cold near a ruined Abydos satellite facility. She remembered her name but not her previous life or the school she had attended. Hoshino and Nonomi brought her inside, and Hoshino lent her a scarf. Shiroko kept it, and the gesture became one of the emotional foundations of her connection to Abydos. Her circumstances before that encounter are not thereby fully explained.
Shiroko initially arrived as a stranger with no clear place to belong. The early Foreclosure Task Force gradually became that place, with Hoshino and Nonomi at its beginnings and Serika and Ayane joining afterward. Recollections of the club’s first days show why losing it would mean far more to her than losing a name on a document.
The Masked Swimsuit Gang
During the Black Market investigation in Volume 1, Shiroko participates in the masked bank operation. What begins as the team’s attempt to investigate the criminal money flow becomes a raid carried out in absurdly serious fashion. Shiroko knows the bank’s layout, surveillance blind spots, and guard positions, and demands transport records even as terrified staff assume the masked intruders want valuables. The sequence exemplifies her unnervingly competent approach to an outrageous plan.
Protecting Hoshino Instead of Losing Her
In Volume 1, Chapter 2, Shiroko notices that Hoshino has been keeping troubling information from the group and shows Sensei a resignation letter she found. The Task Force later refuses to surrender Hoshino to the schemes surrounding Abydos and Kaiser. Shiroko’s concern reflects an important shift from simply defending the school building to making sure the people who sustain it remain together.
In Chapter 3, new disputes over Abydos debt, the student council’s authority, and a train cannon place enormous pressure on Hoshino and Nonomi. Shiroko supports Ayane’s effort to prevent Hoshino from unilaterally deciding everyone else’s future. The team confronts Hoshino and ultimately works toward bringing her back rather than treating her as an enemy to discard.
The Other Shiroko and the Final Volume
The Final Volume brings an apparent Shiroko into a much larger crisis involving the Chroma, Phrenapates, and the Ark of Atrahasis. The threatening figure is not the ordinary Abydos Shiroko acting on an inexplicable change of allegiance; she is Shiroko Terror, a counterpart from another history marked by devastating losses. The ordinary Shiroko is endangered during the Ark crisis, and the two versions become central to its resolution. Their experiences must not be fused into one linear childhood or a single set of deeds.
Shiroko Terror’s different history gives the original Shiroko’s continued attachment to her friends a painful contrast. The narrative uses the two versions to examine how different circumstances can reshape the same person, without presenting one timeline as events that secretly happened to the other.
When the crisis ends, the original Shiroko refuses to give away the scarf connected to Hoshino, but offers the other Shiroko the mask associated with the Task Force’s outrageous bank operation. Their conversation briefly turns that shared taste for suspicious plans into a gentler recognition of each other. It is a meeting between two counterparts, not a single person recovering forgotten actions in her own timeline.
The Scarf and the Choice to Go On
The crisis escalates when Hoshino falls under a terrifying transformation associated with the Underground Dweller’s interference. Shiroko Terror initially believes the only way to stop the catastrophic outcome is to destroy Hoshino’s halo, but a trace of Yume’s notebook offers a way to reach the Hoshino still inside. Rather than accept the other timeline’s apparent inevitability, the Foreclosure Task Force and Sensei act together to bring her back.
Near the resolution of Volume 1, Chapter 3, Shiroko openly tells Hoshino that she would have died alone in the cold without Hoshino’s help and that she has treasured the scarf ever since. Hoshino’s grief over Yume and her attempts to bear responsibility alone are finally confronted by the younger students who refuse to give up on her. The scene makes Shiroko’s attachment to Abydos especially personal: the school’s first gift to her was a chance to survive and belong.
The chapter’s closing scenes also show that the alternate Shiroko’s circumstances and future remain separate from those of the familiar Task Force member. The narrative returns to the ordinary Shiroko fighting alongside Hoshino, Nonomi, Serika, and Ayane. The story is ongoing, so these events should not be described as Shiroko’s final canonical ending.
Additional story facts
In the founding-era flashback, Hoshino finds Shiroko an older Abydos school uniform to wear, which Shiroko accepts.
The school identity she later protects begins as practical hospitality offered to an unknown student.
While trying to raise money in the early Task Force days, Shiroko takes scrap from a merchant and proposes selling it back to that same merchant.
The flashback shows that her alarming financial schemes are an established part of her behavior, not a quirk created solely for the Black Market bank scene.
In the Final Volume, the original Shiroko gives her treasured masked-raid disguise to the other Shiroko while keeping Hoshino’s scarf.
A comic object becomes a gesture of recognition between counterparts who carry different memories of their teams.
Spoiler questions
Where did Shiroko come from before Abydos?
The flashback shows her being found cold and without memories other than her name near a ruined Abydos satellite facility. It does not establish a complete account of her earlier life.
Who gave Shiroko her scarf?
Hoshino gave Shiroko the scarf when they first met, to keep her warm. Shiroko later confirms how much that act meant to her.
Did Shiroko really take part in a bank raid?
Yes. The Task Force conducts a masked operation at a Black Market bank, and Shiroko plays an active role while seeking transport records.
Why does Shiroko confront Hoshino?
She is trying to prevent Hoshino from abandoning the team and taking every burden onto herself. Protecting their shared future matters more than letting Hoshino handle a crisis alone.
What distinguishes Shiroko Terror from the original Shiroko?
Shiroko Terror comes from a different timeline, shaped by catastrophic experiences that did not occur to the familiar Abydos Shiroko. Their identities are connected, but their histories are not interchangeable.
Does the main story give Shiroko a definitive ending?
No. Blue Archive continues beyond the arcs summarized here, and Volume 1 Chapter 3 does not establish a final endpoint for her entire life.
What happens when Hoshino is overwhelmed by Terror?
Shiroko Terror initially argues that Hoshino cannot be restored and must be stopped permanently. The team instead finds a connection through Yume’s notebook and reaches Hoshino together, refusing to abandon her.
