Hina Sorasaki空崎ヒナ
Third-year Gehenna Academy student and head prefect of the Prefect Team
Hina Sorasaki is the third-year student who leads Gehenna Academy’s Prefect Team in Blue Archive. At a school notorious for disorder, she treats enforcing the rules as a serious responsibility even while complaining that nearly everything is a hassle. Her cool judgment and formidable machine gun make her a feared opponent.
Away from the battlefield, however, Hina is an exhausted student who values quiet and responds—sometimes awkwardly—to Sensei’s personal concern.
Biography
Keeping Order at Gehenna
At Gehenna Academy, disorder is an everyday problem, and Hina is responsible for the Prefect Team’s attempts to contain it. She may call the work a nuisance, but she takes violations seriously and makes rapid decisions when a dispute becomes dangerous. Her authority comes with the duty to account for what her own officers do, not merely to punish other students.
Ako, the team’s senior administrator, works directly under Hina; Iori and Chinatsu are among the prefects who answer to her. Gehenna’s Pandemonium Society handles student-council politics, a distinction Hina insists on preserving when a Prefect Team operation goes too far.
An Encounter Beyond Gehenna
The distinction becomes important when Ako deploys Prefect Team forces into Abydos while pursuing Problem Solver 68. Hina arrives to find the operation entangled with Schale and the Abydos Foreclosure Task Force, with the original targets already gone. She reprimands Ako, calls her forces back, and formally apologizes to the Abydos students for entering their district without authorization.
Before leaving, Hina privately warns Sensei that Kaiser Corporation may be conducting suspicious activity in the Abydos desert. The warning and her decision to withdraw show how readily she can distinguish an actual threat from an unnecessary show of force.
A Quiet Wish Beneath the Work
Sleeping and resting are among Hina’s stated hobbies, a modest preference for someone constantly drawn into Gehenna’s emergencies. She has little patience for avoidable trouble, yet her discipline is not mere severity: she is willing to correct her own side and speak candidly with Sensei when she believes a warning matters.
Personality and Motivations
Hina is terse, observant, and quick to separate a real danger from a needless complication. She complains about the work, then does it anyway. During confrontations, she wastes little time on grandstanding: she establishes what happened, gives orders, and expects them to be followed.
Her sense of discipline applies to the Prefect Team itself. When Ako oversteps in Abydos, Hina orders a withdrawal and apologizes to the students affected, rather than defending an unauthorized deployment simply because it was carried out in Gehenna’s name.
With Sensei, Hina can be less guarded, though direct concern and praise sometimes leave her at a loss for words. Her composure makes it easy to overlook the personal effort behind her work; their conversations give her space to acknowledge that effort without abandoning her responsibilities.
Appearance
Hina has long, flowing silver-white hair, purple eyes, a small pair of dark horns, and batlike wings. An angular purple-black halo floats above her head. Her compact figure contrasts with the visually imposing weapon she carries.
Her standard Gehenna outfit is a dark, military-influenced academy uniform with gold trim, a short skirt, an outer coat, and tall dark stockings and boots. Other official game versions dress her for a beach vacation and a formal Gehenna party without changing her recognizable horns, wings, hair, and halo.

Abilities
Machine-Gun Combat
Hina uses a large multipurpose machine gun called Destroyer of Denouement. In gameplay, her weapon and skills emphasize sweeping offensive fire; in the story, her combat reputation makes opponents wary of confronting her directly.
Battlefield Command
She assesses confrontations rapidly, gives clear orders to Prefect Team members, and can stop an unnecessary clash through authority rather than firepower. Her decision to withdraw from Abydos is a concrete example.
Disciplinary Judgment
Hina distinguishes Gehenna’s enforcement responsibilities from its student-council politics. She reprimands an overreaching operation by her own subordinate and accepts responsibility for the resulting incursion.
Limitations: Her formal authority is over Prefect Team operations, not every political decision at Gehenna.
Relationships
Ako Amau
Senior administrator and subordinate
Ako is fiercely committed to the Prefect Team and to Hina, but Hina can firmly correct her when her zeal pushes an operation beyond proper bounds.
Iori Shiromi
Prefect Team subordinate
Iori carries out the Prefect Team’s operations and answers to Hina, including when Hina orders troops to stand down despite Iori’s objections.
Chinatsu Hinomiya
Prefect Team subordinate
Chinatsu serves in the Prefect Team and follows Hina’s orders during the Abydos encounter.
Sensei
Schale advisor and trusted adult
Hina treats Sensei with a degree of candor rarely visible in public, sharing information and accepting their help even when she finds their openness difficult to respond to.
Makoto Hanuma
Gehenna student-council leader and political antagonist
Makoto chairs the Pandemonium Society, a separate organization from the Prefect Team. Hina does not trust her judgment and frequently must navigate the consequences of Gehenna’s internal politics.
Takanashi Hoshino
Abydos student known to Hina through intelligence work
Hina recognizes Hoshino from intelligence work undertaken before Hina led the Prefect Team. Hoshino does not immediately recognize her in return; their early encounter ends with Hina calling off an unauthorized operation in Abydos.
Interesting facts
Her Japanese name is officially written 空崎ヒナ, with a kanji surname and a katakana given name.
The original script spelling is useful for distinguishing the verified name from unofficial kanji renderings of “Hina.”
In the Gehenna party event, players can explore locations from Hina’s perspective rather than only seeing her as a student in the usual battle party.
That change of viewpoint gives a rare direct look at the interruptions and responsibilities that shape her daily experience.
The event’s field-exploration system tracks Hina’s Piano Proficiency in the lead-up to the party.
It makes practice and personal effort, rather than combat statistics alone, part of her featured gameplay.
NEXON’s party update added a special interaction in which Hina (Dress) can play a grand piano placed in the in-game café.
It is a concrete presentation detail connecting her formal-outfit version with the music at the center of her event story.

Major story spoilers below.
The Information Hina Already Knew
Hina’s encounter with the Abydos students is not her first knowledge of Takanashi Hoshino. While serving on Gehenna’s Intelligence Committee, she kept track of notable students beyond her own district and took particular notice of Hoshino. She recognizes Hoshino at their first on-screen meeting, is struck by how different she seems, and later passes a warning about Kaiser Corporation’s activity to Sensei.
Eden Treaty: A Possible Way Out
During the Eden Treaty storyline, Hina is one of the people pushing Gehenna to accept the peace agreement with Trinity. Unlike those who regard the treaty chiefly as a tool for military power, she hopes the proposed shared structure will make Gehenna calmer and reduce the need for her endless interventions. She privately considers stepping down from her post if peace finally becomes possible.
The Signing Ceremony Disaster
The Eden Treaty signing ceremony becomes a trap when Arius launches a devastating attack. Hina is badly hurt in the explosion but remains on her feet, fights past Arius attackers, and tries to reach Sensei. Meanwhile, Makoto celebrates what she believes to be the elimination of both Trinity’s leaders and Hina: she had secretly collaborated with Arius without grasping that Arius was also hostile to Gehenna.
Hina’s wounds eventually leave her unable to continue the escape. When Saori prepares to attack Sensei, Hina rises again to intervene, and Sena arrives with an ambulance to evacuate them. Her survival is established, but the experience pushes her beyond the endurance she normally expects of herself.
The Admission Behind the Armor
After the attack, Hina withdraws and tells Sensei that she is too exhausted to fight and wants to retire. Instead of ordering her back, Sensei thanks her for what she has done. She admits how desperately she wanted someone to recognize her effort and explains that she admires Hoshino for continuing to protect Abydos despite her losses. She then clarifies that her claim of immediate retirement was, in part, a plea to be allowed to depend on someone for once.
Hina returns to the Prefect Team, apologizes to Ako for keeping her waiting, and prepares to fight under Sensei’s direction. Her exhaustion has not magically disappeared; what changes is her willingness to let another person acknowledge it and support her.
The Final Volume’s Third Sanctum Operation
During the Final Volume operation at the abandoned amusement park, Hina joins students from other academies in preparing an assault on the Third Sanctum. She gives the order to begin the mission while Aris and the Game Development Department coordinate their unusual support equipment. The brief scene places her in a wider coalition beyond her usual Gehenna enforcement duties.
A Summer Break Under Siege
In the standalone Head Prefect Hina’s Summer Break event, an attempt to give the overworked prefect time away from regular duties becomes entangled with disorder at a seaside location. Even a holiday cannot entirely separate Hina from her responsibilities. This event is a separate seasonal story, not an alternative outcome of the Eden Treaty.
The Gehenna Party and the Piano
The event Basking in the Brilliance of Their Serenade follows Hina through Gehenna’s preparations for a school party. In the accompanying field exploration, players take her perspective while managing school troubles and building her Piano Proficiency before the performance. Her dress-version character profile adds that the prospect of performing in front of Sensei encourages her to practice.
Returning to the Abydos Crisis
Later, during the Abydos Train Cannon crisis, Hina agrees to Sensei’s request to stop Hoshino and defeats her in a direct confrontation. She explains that the weapon is connected to the legacy of Gehenna’s Tyrant Emperor. She also discloses what she learned as a former Intelligence Committee member about the death of Abydos student council president Kuchinashi Yume: Yume was heading to deposit a payment related to the Trans-Desert Railway when an unforeseen natural disaster caused her death. Hina tells Hoshino that Yume did not know about the Train Cannon and that the accident was not Hoshino’s fault.
In the aftermath, Hina and Hoshino rest in the Abydos infirmary. Hina eventually returns to Gehenna before a proper farewell, explaining that duties and unfinished business concerning the Train Cannon still await her. The Foreclosure Task Force thanks her for intervening. Her later help in Abydos brings the investigator from her first appearance back into Hoshino’s story as someone who can confront her without dismissing her grief.
Additional story facts
After the Train Cannon crisis, Hoshino falls asleep against Hina in the Abydos infirmary, leaving Hina unable to move until Sensei intervenes.
The awkward, quiet aftermath contrasts with their fierce confrontation and gives Hina an unusually mundane problem that she cannot solve with authority or firepower.
At the height of her post-treaty exhaustion, Hina points out that her grades are usually excellent.
The remark makes clear that her wish to receive praise and care is not a request for academic rescue; it is an emotional need that she rarely voices.
Spoiler questions
Does Hina die in the Eden Treaty attack?
No. She is seriously injured during the Arius attack and helps protect Sensei, but she survives and returns to command.
Why did Hina want to retire?
She saw the Eden Treaty as a chance for Gehenna to become more orderly and for her to escape an exhausting burden. After the attack, she also momentarily expresses a desire to stop fighting, before resuming her duties with Sensei’s support.
What does Hina reveal about Hoshino and Yume?
She explains that Gehenna investigated Yume’s death and that Yume’s fatal trip was connected with depositing money for a railway purchase, not secretly destroying the Train Cannon. Hina tells Hoshino that the death was an accident rather than her fault.
Does Hina fight Hoshino in the Abydos Train Cannon storyline?
Yes. At Sensei’s request she intervenes to stop Hoshino; afterward she explains both the threat posed by the Train Cannon and her earlier knowledge of the Abydos tragedy.
