Pecorine is Eustiana von Astraea, the eldest daughter of the ruling family of Landosol. The ruler occupying her place has taken her name, position, and even the recognition of her parents. Long before she can reclaim the kingdom, the princess must live as someone her own home no longer knows.
Her Gourmet Guild friendships help carry her through the struggle against Kaiser Insight, the false princess ruling from the throne. By the opening of Part 2, that enemy has been defeated and Pecorine has recovered her name, royal position, and country. She continues adventuring beside the guildmates who stood with her when she had none of those things.
Royal equipment and an insatiable appetite
Pecorine’s royal equipment boosts her physical capabilities but consumes enormous amounts of energy. Its poor efficiency contributes to the extreme hunger that follows her even outside major battles. She already loved food; the equipment explains the extraordinary scale of her appetite rather than creating her values or culinary curiosity.
Princess Form and a widening circle: Part 2
After the kingdom is restored, the group welcomes a memory-impaired girl who falls from the sky and becomes known as Sheffy. The arrival of Rage Legion brings battle to Landosol, and Pecorine and Yui awaken Princess Form as their allies struggle to resist the attackers. The transformation turns the battle but does not immediately resolve the new conflict.
Rage Legion seeks the Seven Crowns, the extraordinary group associated with the creation of Legend of Astrum. Pecorine and her companions defy restrictions on reentering the game and travel into hidden worlds in search of a way to restore them.
Their search reaches Geo Theogonia, Geo Gehenna, and Geo Niflhel, each home to unfamiliar rulers and peoples. In Geo Gehenna, the enemy Arachne shatters the ice prison containing Sheffy’s soul, but the protagonist reaches for the last hope left to him. The guild ultimately defeats the threat with Sheffy and celebrates their reunion.
